Imagine a vast land of diverse landscapes; subtropical rainforests, pristine lakes, impressive glaciers and arid deserts teamed with cultural cities, excellent food, drink and dance and you have Argentina. This is not to mention the stunning array of wildlife - birds, mammals and reptiles.
In Buenos Aires, the home of tango you can sample the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan city life where street cafes, outdoor art, music, museums and captivating architecture can be found everywhere. After dark the city comes alive in a different way, when the native porteños come out to play at the impressive array of bars, restaurants and clubs.
To truly appreciate the Argentinian culture no visit would be complete without spending time with the Gauchos (cowboy’s native to Argentina) in The Pampas, which covers 100,00 square miles from Buenos Aires to Cordoba. Staying at one of the traditional estancias or ranches scattered across the countryside, life can be experienced from a saddle to provide a different perspective on Argentinian life.
Another must see when in Argentina are the Iguazu Falls; 275 separate water falls spanning a distance of over twice that of Niagra falls. Not only are the falls magnificent in sight but the sound of them packs an almighty punch also. Viewing can be done from walkways on both the Brazilian and Argentinian or for an even more unforgettable experience a helicopter ride over the falls can be arranged or a boat safari.

If food and drink are your thing then Mendoza and the surrounding area’s vineyards should be part of your itinerary. Mendoza itself is a stylish and sophisticated city but to truly immerse yourself in the countryside and Argentinian wines, then a stay at one of the bodegas or wine lodges would not go amiss.
Moving further south the ice caps and glaciers of Patagonia are sights to behold and a stark contrast to the landscape and climate of the north. The Perito Moreno glacier is the most famous of the Patagonian glaciers and can be experienced in a number of ways from the sedate to the adrenaline pumping. As one of the main towns of the Patagonian region, Bariloche is often used as a base to visit the regions lakes, mountains and glaciers.
With a comprehensive infrastructure Argentina is well organised for visitors and offers high standards of transport links, accommodation and excursions.
